http://blog.yam.com/nature_farmer/trackback/16188115 小農”, 這個字眼經常出現在關心農村文化存續的朋友或媒體口中; 去年九月的有機展, 自己也在一群”小農” 的專區攤位中幫忙, 相反的一面就是 “農企業”, 在前述的這群朋友口中, 農企業成了消滅農村文化的怪獸.    自己應該是 “小農” 吧?   但習慣東想西想的我, 早上幫150坪大的黃豆除草時, 突然懷疑起這個 “小 ” 是如何定義的?   到底誰才是 “小” 農?  不弄清楚這一點, 如何希望消費者支持小農?  ” 大” 與 “小” 是相對的比較, 不是絕對的.         ** 最簡單的是從耕作面積來看:         據政府84年之統計,台灣的農民每戶平均耕地面積是 1.08公頃, 如下圖: 戶數、平均耕地面積（公頃）與平均每戶人口數（人） 資料來源：「台灣農業年報」 、台灣省政府農民廳      每戶1.08公頃的面積與美國相比都是 “小”, 但比起日本或東南亞未必是小.         這數字既是平均, 一定表示有的人耕作面積遠大於此, 另有人耕作面積遠低於此.     我私下觀察, 本地的中壯年專業農民通常耕地面積大於此數字, 種鳳梨的經常一個人管理超過 1.5 公頃以上, 甚至有的農民超過每人 5公頃; 但一些年紀較大或務農只是兼差的農民, 其耕作面積就小於此數字.     那麼面積愈大的就不是小農了嗎?     超過 1.5公頃的面積, 不管那種作物, 收成集中的產季, [...]
